Football
I still don't see it happening anytime soon. However, I tend to believe that Chasse plans to be here a long time. I think he could provide the leadership to make this happen, at some point, if he thinks it is the best for the school and athletic department. He won't make any rash decisions, but it is something he might legitimately consider once he gets our current sports to the level they need to be at- financially and scholarship-wise.

It is obvious from the interview in the newspaper this morning that Chasse has his priorities straight. Get the program's we have now fully funded before even thinking about adding new ones.

When I spoke to him it was clear that a top priority was getting each sport to have the full amount of scholarships allowed by the NCAA and getting the salaries of some of our assistants up to a live-able wage. 1.1 million to fund a marching band is likely a long way off when we can't fund all our scholarships or pay assistants enough to live on. Lot of work to be done, but I feel better about our athletic program than I have in a long time.
