If what I'm hearing is true, he will be one of several that will be looking to transfer out at the end of the season.

It will get to the point that we wont be able to field a team. Josh stays and he'll be taking on some more 2 star jucos to fill out the roster.

And I sure hope Nick King isnt one of the ones you're speaking of, b/c that would be awful to see a hometown player like that transfer due to inept coaching.

There's a local high school coach who's hoping the same thing.

He said it was hard to get back quickly because the bigs had stick back for in case the last shot didn't fall, but they did stay in front of Cummings. He was just able to make the pass to a guy who, after missing all of his previous shots, banked in a prayer.

Pastner could go 0-30 and you'd still argue that he's the best coach ever. Dude, wake up. Faith in Pastner and the way he runs the program is waning with each season. Look around and let all the empty seats in FEF be your barometer. Apathy has set in, and until he's replaced, it'll only get worse.

This is a fairly typical type of statement from the crowd that hates Pastner. There isn't a single poster on this board that thinks that Pastner is the best coach ever. There are a bunch of posters that make ridiculous statements like this, along with other statements about non existent posters who "beat their chests," or "act like we won the tournament" or the like, when we win a game.

There are a dozen or so posters that NEVER give him credit for anything, and think that he is the worst coach ever.

Well, the Tigers have pissed away any opportunity to get an at-large bid.

I guess Pookie's development is being pissed away, too.

I just don't get that Pookie has been any worse than anyone else. Something must be going on off the court or its a personal issue between him and Josh.

The minutes he gets are almost more insulting than not being played at all.

I'm not a fan of kedren's game at all. Basically bank on him having a 1:1 assist to turn ratio and he can't shoot a lick. Pretty slow footed on defense.

In the two games following Kedren's "breakout" game vs. Cinci, he came off the bench and averaged 5 points, 2 assists, 2.5 turnovers and shot 33% from the field.

That vaulted him back into the starting role. Seriously.

Since becoming starter again, Johnson is averaging 7.4 ppg, is shooting 43% from the field, 20% from three and has 12 assists and 9 turnovers in about 26 minutes a game.

Hardly numbers that scream "he needs to get most minutes."

What must go though a players head when he (Pookie) gets beaten out by a guy (Kedren) who in the previous two games just went 4-12 (2-7 from three) and had 5 turnovers to 4 assists.

Meanwhile, in those SAME two games, Pookie had gone 3-8 from the field (2-4 from three) with 10 assists and 2 turnovers.

Plus, Kedren is slow as frozen molasses.

We are a pretty good defensive rebounding team that gets little of nothing in transition.

I'm not saying Pookie is the answer by any means, but when he's the only high school point that you've been able to sign in the last 4 years it really makes no sense that he hardly plays. Especially when we don't have a point coming in next year either.

The basket happened because 3 of our players inexplicably didn't hustle back after the made basket. Part of that is on the coaches for having them prepared for that scenario, and part is on the players themselves for not having the sense to race back after the basket.

This has been happening all year. In fact, I have noticed it happening repeatedly over the last few years. I don't think it is inexplicable any more. Yesterday it caught up to us in a big way.

Pookie getting recruited over by a three star.

I guess the writings on the wall for Rashawn.

Hopefully this one makes it to the first game unlike Magee.

Our players will always get recruited over until JP learns how to actually develop what he has.

First off Stammers, I don't hate Pastner and never have. I said in another post that I did give Pastner credit for keeping this program relevant after Cal left and I was one of his biggest supporters for the first 3-4 years of his tenure here. But it's been obvious to me that after 6 years on the job that he's in over his head and in my opinion he needs to be replaced. As far as my statement that he could go 0-30 and argue that he's the best coach ever, well that was meant for that greg guy who thinks Pastner's the greatest thing since sliced bread. So don't mix me in with who you think are the Pastner haters. Hate is a very strong word, and as I said, no, I don't hate Pastner, and for the many reasons I've stated in other posts, I just think he needs to be replaced as our head coach. And again, for the umpteenth time, it's not just about this year.

I admit when I am and I'm certainly flexible when it comes to my opinions changing/evolving. I wouldn't insist that Iverson has a concussion for 6 weeks.
