Toledo gets cmu and akron again. Plus we hold hold our tie breaker over UB and BG. Kent is the only team that has our number indefinently. In the end the winner of the West is granted a top two seed. Emu, and wmu on the road will make that tough for the Rockets.

Yeah, being division champ only gets you a nice little banner which you probably have to buy yourself.

Divisions are meaningless in tourney seeding. Overall MAC record is all that counts. I think this is year three of this setup?

That lineup is very quick and was running; not much on the boards.

Bond had a nice game. He is a 6' 6" PG who can play PG, SG, or SF.

Indeed, starting two years ago (or three) was it? The divisions only matter for scheduling purposes (and for hanging banners that usually seem to scream out "close but no cigar")

Only us and the Ohio Valley still have divisions in all of D1. In their format, both division winners get automatic byes to the Semi's, while the next best two records get byes to the quarters. However only 8 of their 12 teams make the tournament. A little bit more manageable than our format, but I still prefer the old way.

hmm. I guess I've just never seen it where one division dominated so much in basketball where the winner of the weak division wasn't in the top 4. I assumed you clinch a top 4 spot for winning it.... that brings up a good point then. Division are useless. There should be a regular season champ and a tourney champ. Shouldn't invite 9-12 to Cleveland anyways.

Right now it would be BSU, Miami, NIU, and OU to sit at home.

Actually KSU is #2 right now, Akron is #3 and CMU would be #4. The point you make is the same though.
