RE: Willam and Mary - Game Thread
Of the top three teams, I think Northeastern has the toughest remaining schedule.
Northeastern:
@ Hofstra
@ UNCW
vs. W&M
vs. Drexel
@ Elon
@ CoC
W&M:
vs. Elon
vs. Delaware
@ Northeastern
@ Hofstra
vs. Towson
vs. Drexel
UNCW:
vs. CoC
vs. Northeastern
@ Delaware
@ Towson
vs. JMU
@ Elon
On paper, I'd say schedule difficulty from hardest to least difficult is NU, W&M, UNCW. Northeastern has 4 of 6 on the road and their next 4 games are all against teams within 2 games of first place.
It's going to be interesting. We all seem to keep putting W&M, NU, and UNCW on a separate pedestal, but as I hinted at there are six teams within 2 games of 1st place. That doesn't look like a big gap between those top three and the next three.
Depending on how things play out, we know quite a bit more come tip-off for the Feb. 18 games.

W&M and northeastern both have two incredbily tough road games left while uncws road games are on paper very manageable. Hawks arent out of this yet but we need to win out and have the tribe drop both their road games. Possible but tough

RE: Willam and Mary - Game Thread
I think W&M will go 5-1, at worst 4-2, in the last 6 games.
With a one game lead already - and with NU and UNCW still having to play each other - the chances I think are pretty solid the Tribe finishes or ties #1. And with that, they should be in pretty good shape in any tie breakers.
We do have 4 of 6 at home and the crowds at the Hall will be stoked for these remaining games.
I hope you guys bring a nice following to Baltimore. It should be a fun weekend.
Congrats on your season so far.

I for one am simply glad that Trask is back. Immediately after the loss one of the students said to me at the press table, "Don't worry. We'll be back Wednesday." Love that attitude.

Baseball season opener this Friday already?
Wow. That's awesome. It feels so good to get back to the days of not counting down the days until baseball. Not to take ANYTHING away from baseball, but to have two great sports at UNCW again. Awesome.

Yikes. Gonna be some painful swings at the plate. I'd be throwing a lot of fastballs if I was the pitcher. Make them pay for swinging.

Agreed. I think the NE one and the game at Delaware are the toughest 2 games you guys have left. Given what you saw from us on the road this week, we are no lock to win either road game. Anything is possible, but it would be an upset for us to lose at home. So, if we go 4-2 we would be 13-5. You guys would have to win out to get the #1 seed. Northeastern could also get it by winning out. In a 3 way tie, we would likely win any tiebreaker since we are currently 7-0 against teams 2-6 in the standings. Northeastern's next 3 games are as tough as any 3 game stretch in our league. If they run through all 3 of those, they probably deserve the #1 seed. Saturday is shaping up to be a big day. Given our recent play, we might lose to Elon, but we have played much better at home all year. We have been relatively dominant against everyone but UNCW on our home floor, including our best win of the year over Wofford.
