It just makes me happy to see a great MAC game with a soldout crowd. The crowd is going absolutely crazy right now in Mt Pleasant, CMU has stormed back to take a 3 pt lead. Frisky I am just glad to see the MAC become one of the best mid major conferences again, its refreshing to see.

The way its shaping up you are right, the MAC is almost too deep this year, its preventing any of the teams from separating from the pack. It doesn't have the elite teams of a few of the mid major conferences, but it certainly has the best depth of any mid major conference.

Right now your top 3 RPI's for mid majors are as follows:

1) West Coast
2) Missouri Valley
3) Mid-American


Projections based on completion of the regular season do have the MAC overcoming the MVC, which would put the MAC 2nd behind the West Coast. Right now the MVC and MAC are in a virtual tie, but projections give a slight edge to the MAC for 2 spot.

A chance for NIU tonight to get its highest RPI win, against #75 BGSU A win tonight would give NIU the last 1st round home playoff spot positioning at #8
