I have only met him a few times and shook his hand and said hi. Never had a conversation with him so I'm not gonna talk about him like I know him

The "if" came from years of your fans constantly saying "we would have beat USF "if" we would have...." or "we would be better "if" this had happened".

Its an earned title. All we heard for a decade was how UCF would be better "if", so thats where it comes from.

A single year of football was a good accomplishment for UCF and honestly a bigger accomplishment in football then we have had. Overall though, if you count amount of time playing football USF has done bigger things faster.

We still have more big wins then UCF and have more wins against BCS teams. Were down right now in a couple sports but others were still very strong. Id put our soccer team up against UCF anytime, womens basketball, our golf team just won the Gator invitational (UCF came in toward the rear).

Football and Basketball will get there. New coaches take time.

You're right that was something people used to call us especially USF fans. I'm sure it won't change your mind but that was also before a lot of things. It was before multiple conference championships, before an ocs, before the bcs bowl, and before the #3 draft pick. All of these things USF has not accomplished so calling UCF the whole if thing just makes you look silly especially by comparison.
