RE: UTSA Thread
No UAB team has ever won more than 12 regular season conference games.

To show the damage wtf losses can do, I changed all 4 of our current ones to wins. Had we avoided those, we would be 15-7 currently with an RPI of 54. While that's a shame, I'd much rather trade those early season losses for our wins in conference. Let's hope we remain in CUSA, or we'll have to play a brutal OOC schedule every year just to try to remain relevant.

Last year we had four players who were leading scorers. Frazier, Washington, Alihodzic and Tucker.

2012-13 - isiah Jones, Rucker, Alihodzic, Swing, Williams, Terrence Jones, Purifoy

2011-2012 Swing, Tyler, Moore, Solo, Taylor, Purifoy, Whitaker,

2010-2011 Moore, Sanders, Soko, Johnson, Fields

Thanks. Wasn't sure how odd this was, and I didn't look deep enough to find ties. I thought Cokley was up there at some point though. It's weird how different having different leading scorers feels this year though.

Well, hopefully we change that, although it would need the 18 game asterisk. And damn, that is disappointing, especially because we could've won all those games except for Chattanooga.

IF UAB is not retained by C-USA and doesn't get invited to join another (decent basketball) conference, UAB will be faced with the potential scheduling problems of an independent without the name recognition of some others. The problem won't be the fall months when all conference teams play OOC games.

The crunch time will be January to March when they all concentrate on conference play and while they may play a few OOC games, they are usually ALWAYS at their home court. UAB could face that period of time with zero, or near zero home games with teams helpful to our RPI. EX: How many OOC games are on UAB's schedule this conference season and where do we play any we might have?

RPIForecast has us favored in every game left except for Thursday night against La Tech, although it's by less than a point in three games.

When you have no answer to the question, is it all you can do to attack the questioner? Do you honestly believe that the question is not being posed by competition coaches to recruits right now? What is the answer any of UAB's HCs can honestly give to any recruit who is considering UAB for seasons past 2015 that don't begin with "IF"?
