This is not your typical Gonzaga team. I think they are F4 material-always comes down to match ups. They will probably hurt us inside and then do what ECU did tonite running same play- hits 3s. Line will probably open around 15.

Agree, the Jags are seriously loaded for bear and playing extremely well. A #3 national ranking speaks for itself. This is probably the best Gonzaga squad in their history.

They have endured some tough losses to MEMPHIS, including last year, and will want to decimate the TIGERS on ESPN(?).

MEMPHIS will have to play collectively the best game of their lives to stay close. Emulate ECU from downtown, 90% free throws, be even in rebounds, half the turnovers....it's a humongous challenge.

Gonzaga will be favored big, and should be.

Actually we have the players to match up well against them. We could give them a look they don’t often see.

It would also be a look we haven’t used all season so I don’t expect to see it Saturday. It could get real ugly real quick if we start with 3 guards.

EDIT: BTW this is by far the best team Mark Few has ever had.

We need fortitude and lots of it.

This may be the best Zag team ever---very evenly balanced. No team member has to compensate for the other. It's like watching a machine. Plus they are waiting for us at the kennel. lol. That place is beyond real.

I'm not sure beating Gonzaga really redefines this season for me. If we beat them and play at our current level the rest of the season, we are still not getting invited to the NCAA. If we lose and win the conference tournament, we are in the NCAA.

Once, this would have been a big game for the Tigers. To me, it doesn't matter much either way.

I remember back in the day when teams played Memphis, they were motivated and gave it their all. When we play teams that are better than us now, we are don't seem motivated and don't give it our all. We just fold like a 600lb woman in a folding chair.

It could happen. I certainly hope we play our best game of the season and beat them. I do not expect it to happen but I will still watch the game with hope filled eyes... Actually, to be honest I have stopped expecting Memphis to beat everyone they play and it has made the games a little more relaxing to watch...

Austin Nichols would have to play point and have a triple double.

The triple double is possible tho.

Our biggest issue is the disappearing act we perform every game, many times coming out flat after the half. Somebody slip some caffeine pills to the guys.

If we could just manage to somehow be competitive, that would at least provide a glimmer of hope. I'm hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.
