Texas State has the worst conference-only shooting % in the league at just 37.6%. Rebounding is an issue also. Wes Davis being out is an issue also (Frank Eaves would have never scored 31 had Davis been on the court). We have a lot of issues right now. If Gant gets into foul trouble we lose badly. We don't have any other guy on our team who can defend Shawn Long.

We need this week off in a bad way. Glad to finally have a bye.

Yeah, I'm not particularly optimistic about this one, am expecting the streak to hit 5 . . . would LOVE to be wrong . . . . maybe the Cajuns are so distracted by our WALL that we eeeeekk one out . . .

How on earth the entire SBC will have had at least one bye by Jan 29th, and Arkansas State doesn't take its first until Feb 7, I don't know.

Our coaches have been complaining about it regularly. Instead of being on Bye Saturday like we normally would, we've got to get on a bus and drive 7 hours to Atlanta so the Panthers can beat our brains in. Than We've got Troy at home the following Thursday before finally we get a Bye.

the other unintended consequence is that our two bye's happened to fall on the selected ESPN Wild Card Weekends, so even if we were having a great year, there was no chance to get on the Network.

UL did that in Lafayette when they hosted Miss State. Seemed to be a fun time. Well, until MSU remembered they weren't supposed to lose to us.

For the first game of the SoCon Tournament in Asheville, they would have it at 11 am in front of all the Asheville school children and wouldn't sell beer. App played in this game two of the last three years. It wasn't a bad idea, but watching a Jason Capel-coached team had to be experienced with alcohol.

Our big Men's win over Texas State (Gosh we've sunk far) came on day that over a hundred Elementary Schoo Kids were performing the halftime show. They stood and cheered the entire game.

AState and UALR Women are tied at 8 5 minutes in. I hate that I am missing this.
