Of course there are coaches that would take the NIU job.

Actually all I have really said is the MAC is one of the best mid-majors conferences in all of college basketball THIS YEAR. Im not sure about anything else regarding stature and other non-performance based things. I merely pointed out statistically what is true this year.

RE: A Novel Idea: come to the game today
This is what I thought this years team would be and I am pretty sure the coaches thought about the same. Baker-6pts, Highsmith-12pts, Aaric Armstead-12pts, Bowie-12pts, Threloff-10pts, back-ups Orris-4pts, Johnson-6pts, Armstead-6pts, Pete-4pts, Maric-4pts and Chuks-2pts. Instead, Highsmith out, Johnson starts season hurt and Bowie only has played in one MAC game. Also, holding the other team to 64-68 pts.

This is what I see for next years team. Baker-6pts, Newguard-10pts, Aaric Armstead 12-14pts, Bowie12-14pts, Maric-8pts. Back-ups, Porter-4pts, Pauga-4pts, Chuks-4pts, Bradley-4pts, Key-4pts and New Big-4pts. I also see them holding teams to 64-68pts.

I believe Sports Fan said Highsmith is having another surgery in May or June. If that happens it's assumed that he would be out next year. I don't know this to be true or false. Either way,as the coach, I would not count on him. They have a scholly and will be able to find a guard that scores.

He hurts his knee in what, November? Why the hell would you wait half a year to have surgery?

If Highsmith can't play and play relatively well next year they're going to be bad. And coming off two major knee injuries, odds are they're going to be bad.

It was said here that Highsmith needed two surgeries . He would've had one in January and another in May or June. I have no idea if this is true or not. This is what has been posted in the dog pound.

Two surgeries, total. The initial to fix the torn ACL, and a second surgery to take care of whatever the first didn't fix. He had the first in late 2013/early 2014.

Georgeborkfan, Highsmith had surgery in Jan of 2014. We then were told he got hurt again in Nov of 2014. Then it's been posted that he had surgery in Jan of 2015 and would need another in May or Jun of 2015 thus keeping him out of the 2015-16 season. I hope that's not true but that's what has been assumed on the board?

Monty said two surgeries, not three.

Yes 1 in Jan 2014 + 1 in Jan 2015 + 1 in June 2015 = 3.

If you count the one on the other knee senior year in high school , that makes 4.
