All the resolutions were delivered to Watts' office this afternoon along with the letter written by the high school coaches.

Having Chris Yeager sign the coaches' letter of support is good enough for me in terms of Mtn Brook supporting UAB football.

It's time for all the municipalities to put some teeth behind their resolutions now. They all should be donating or buying season tickets since they have gone on the record of supporting UAB.

If you are a Shelby County resident, please remember when the next election rolls around those guys left us hanging. I will vote for who ever runs against my area commissioner.

Resolutions are all well and good, but these municipalities also need to step up to the plate with some financial assistance.

I saw Phyllis comment on this once. Some of these resolutions passed under the understanding that they would not be expected to make a financial contribution.

You may be able to get council members to pledge individually, but I wouldn't count on them to pledge city dollars toward the program...especially the smaller towns.
