Apparently Mtn Brook is delaying until the 16th.

EDIT: Disregard, Marsha Hire says the resolution is back on the Feb 9th Mtn Brook agenda.

I'm being told that Homewood is not voting on a resolution due to the divisive nature.

Divisive with who? If Homewood won't stand with UAB then they will also join the ranks of those whom I will oppose. Financially and otherwise.

Yeah, right and wrong.

Come on, Homewood. Don't suck.

So who's fault is it that it's divisive issue??? You could say both sides but if we were treated fairly, I doubt the situation would exist

Well read on FB that MtnBrook is following Homewood & not discussing it saying it's a JeffCo/Bham issue 01-lauramac2

I guess they see that they get nothing from UAB or that some of the big UAT boosters that live there told them to pull it. I seem to remember that they voted yes on Visionland all those years ago. I wonder how much that benefitted them???

That's certainly their right. But I have learned two cities (Mtn Brook and Homewood) that I will not be patronizing in the future.

RE: City/County Proclamations for UAB
I just received this message from Homewood City Councilor Barry Smith.

Hi guys--sorry I've been out of touch--while Fred and I have been working to try to figure this out--someone somewhere is very resistant to this idea. We haven't given up and will continue to try to figure this out but I did want y'all to know that it won't be in the agenda tonight so that you won't waste time coming up there. I would strongly suggest that y'all try to mobilize some folks and start emailing council members and the mayor. Like I said, we haven't given up but it's a big wall to get over.

Barry

I plan to keep fighting and hope others will join in.

The Councilor's and Mayor's contact information can be found here:
