We still would need to push for changes to the BOT for our long terms success though.
In todays athletics I do not know of a football coach who is also the AD.

I had thought of him. But do you really think once every three years in a bowl game after the HFBC quits really counts

For Alvarez many say the reason why many of his coaches are leaving is because he's not fully left the HC position for the AD which is why he keeps coming back. I do think it's now a rare breed that does the dual position since the time constraints of each job would prevent someone from doing both well at the bigger schools but maybe at smaller/lesser division schools - offhand I don't know of any but all one needs to do is take the time to look at Div 1 FBS/FCS schools to see who does

I want Clark as our football coach...not AD. Remember when Watson Brown was both?

Yeah, and he creates havoc and has had a couple of coaches leave because of his meddling. Besides, he's a completely different case.

I don't think that there's a chance in hell that Clark is even seriously considered for the AD job. Not sure I want him to be, I'd much rather have him coaching football full time.

What we don't need is some Bama guy or SEC retread stuffed down our throats again.
