RE: Redhawks @ Huskies predictions
Last year, NIU was 1-1 with Toledo. Toledo was the second seeded team. Last year, NIU lost two games by a combined 8pts to WMU. WMU was the one seed and MACC. I would say that's competitive. They have a ways to go but in my mind injuries have slowed them down the past two seasons. It's not a excuse but it certainly has been a factor.

Definitely true.

Anyone should win at home when the opponents are UC Riverside, Hampton, Miss Valley St., Maine, Idaho, Aurora, (then last year) BGSU, Ball State, CMU and Miami. I know you have to play and win the games on your schedule, but 10 of those 12 wins were against absolutely garbage teams. I'm glad they're winning games now and floating around .500, but beating those teams at home does nothing to get me optimistic about the program.

We were competitive in our games against Toledo last year but when was the last time we were competitive or beat a decent team besides Toledo? @Nebraska?

NIU's basketball program has the been the poster child of "competitive" the past 2 years, this post makes less than no sense.

Line opens at NIU -7, early money coming in for the Redhawks with the line now down to 6.5 in spots.

No sign of Aric armstead dohhh. I don't even see him in street clothes. If anybody hears how long he will be out on tv or radio please post! That really sucks. Bowie looks fine but now we lose armstead. Reminds me of the bulls

A armstead held out for concussion reasons. Bowie to play

Stream is up. Glad we've got Rodewald on the call instead of Garcia.

Ha, there's one guy just eating popcorn right behind the the announcers. Never change, NIU.

They say it's the best home run (7-1) in 25 years. Nice.

Miami winless on the road and giving up the most points in the MAC. Can't lose this one if you're making progress, even shorthanded.

Miami has a short lineup, feed the bigs (even though it didn't work the first time).
