15-20% on ADA is right, hence my 3 mill price tag.

Is ADA compliant bad? Really?

Finally I need to find out the deal on the endzone, if the bleachers stay (can't get a straight answer on that) hopefully the boxes stay and maybe we can grab them for the QB club to make some extra $$

The End Zone bleachers are definitely NOT ADA "compliant" and should be discontinued in the interest of safety and comfort, should they not????

I'm not sure this is true. Aren't the walkways in the end zone bleachers currently the widest in the stadium, in addition to having a large ramp and (maybe?) an elevator to the luxury boxes? ADA compliance doesn't require that everyone can use every seat.

As long as there is comparable ADA-compliant seating by price, it should be ok to continue the endzone seats in their current form.

I do not know if they plan on keeping the endzone bleachers, I would guess those are pretty costly for the season.

Obviously if there is a big enough outcry they would be kept, but I am thinking people may become enamored with the new seating.

We need to keep end zone seating. Major part of our atmosphere, and offers lower cost options for families. Many prefer to be in the end zone. Best way to attract new fans. We are in a growing market, and need to appeal to new fans.

If I'm reading the situation right, SF, the outcry has been big enough to keep the seating. PTB's don't like it--I guess because of the annual cost of removal and construction--but they like disgruntled fans less.

(I had argued that we should lower the bleachers in the S end zone and move the scoreboard to the N, just to open up the beautiful view from the Sadler balcony. They told me that moving the scoreboard would be out of the question and that enough fans were complaining that they might not be able to reduce end zone seating anyway.)

No such thing as a "dumb thread".

Well relatively speaking that is.

I was also assured recently that the endzone seating will remain following the renovations. Whatever the added cost, its worth it to maintain the atmosphere and fan experience.

Question, would upgrading the heating plant at W&M require bringing the access to the steam tunnels up to ADA standards?

Priceless. Years ago, I went to sculpture classes, Dr Roseburg, that were held in the old heating plant next to the old infirmary, my home for two years in the room used by the great charley sidwell. Still had the bullet holes in the walls where he used to shoot at the cockroaches (long since torn down). Don't recall anything to do with ADA.

Right...but based on the FAQ section there should be some things going on around the stadium by now.

Yeah, nothing going up - only going down, which isn't very photogenic.
