Watched the game on the Big South Network. Good effort, same results. It is very obvious that we simply don't have athletes equal to the other teams. Where we have bulk and size, we lack athleticism and speed. Just another sad game in this years basketball saga.

Why are our big guys so inept at the offensive end of the court? Why can't they get anything other than a dunk?

I'm not a coach but my vision of a successful team would comprise of one big guy who can get offensive boards and defend the paint on defense with a point guard who can drive for a bucket but really excels at passing while the rest of the team shoots 3's or cuts to the basket/screen for someone else. Sure it is risky if you have a cold night and you won't put the other team in foul trouble but hitting 3's makes you dangerous because it makes nearly any lead unsafe for the other team and it can put the dagger on a trailing opponent. Get fast breaks and if not then shoot 3's. Even with bad talent it would still be entertaining.
