Today as well as the last week have encompassed historical decisions for UAB. The world knows now that the students, faculty, alumni, and metro community loves this great university. The days of no one cares are gone. I have faith and I believe the programs will be restored for the simple reason that those in power know that we know and we won't tolerate tampering any longer. So don't be discouraged about paper thin support declarations from the BOT because that is exactly what it is. I doubt that very few of the BOT even know what a vote of no confidence even means. But as a large research university that depends on our house being in order to receive grants, they will quickly figure out that they need let the anchor sink on his own or he'll take the entire system down with him.

I agree. We've spoken, the students, and the faculty. I think about everyone expected this kind of public reaction from the BoT.
We are winning, and that is what is important. We just need to keep it up!
