Torn. Basketball is my love. However, UAB comes first. I'm holding out until the dust settles.

If watts goes I support it. If he stays then I have a tough decision to make.

Short version: please don't embarrass us.

My version: shame on the fans who let's the football mess affect their decision. UAB doesn't get this money and will likely lose money. Fans have wanted this tournament for years and we have it. It has nothing to do with Watts, football or anything. You want Haase to leave. Then embarrass him with a poorly attended tournament. And Norton stood up to Watts signing the letter that all the other women coaches signed. If you would have normally bought tickets, recognize that this is not like a donation to UAB or showing support to Watts, it is showing support to the athletes who wear the UAB uniform. It is also important that we have a strong home court advantage if we are to salvage this season.

Hope the young men out there hooping aren't feeling this. Sort of glad they are out town.

If Watts is still president of UAB on March 11th, I won't be involved in anything UAB anymore. Nothing to do with basketball.

Just thought you were a bigger fan than that. Watts is not UAB. Abandoning UAB is letting the terrorists win. If anyone abandons UAB over this, they were never much of a fan in the first place.

Ray Watts cannot outlast me. If Scotty McCallum can chant "Fire Ray Watts" at age 93, then so can I.

If Ray Watts is still president on March 11th, the tournament will be an opportunity for mass protest that can't be passed up: all 14 fan bases chanting "Fire Ray Watts" during every opposing free throw.

Ray Watts believes that if he just hunkers down long enough, #FreeUAB will tire and go away. I will never, ever tire of opposing Ray Watts. There is no time limit on fighting evil.

I will be at the tournament, whether the Watts has been turned down or not.

MB you have to respect that some of us want to make our statement in a different way than you. I agree taking money away from athelitics is potentially counterproductive. However, we are all humans and mostly alumni who want to voice our opinions in different ways. We are in a very fluid state. I value your opinion more than most. Today, let's help each other rally together.
