RE: National Championship game thread
I am off recovering from some minor surgery and had occasion to watch that "press conference" this afternoon.
1. As the anouncers from espn said, if you are going to schedule a presser than could you at least be on time for it?
2. Even Cardale said he thought it was ridiculous to have a conference to announce he was staying, it was an easy decision.
3. What a U-turn from the only thing I am here for is the football, haha, can you say "advisors"? And some of those espn morons were fawning all over him for staying in school. Seems to me the whole thing was a self promoting sham and he actually seems lie a decent kid, who is giving him advice?
4. Wearing a 12 gauge shirt to a presser was a smart move.

I saw a fluff piece on espn about him a few days ago and he seems like a decent kid, but who gives these young men advice?

I think teflon urban is slimier today than he was on Monday.

Something doesn't add up. This is the same dude that texted he didn't come to O$U to play school. Now he says he values his education!?

It would appear that the same man that has mentored all the football athletes coming out of Cleveland Glenville has had a hand in this. Ted Ginn, Sr. He has been the father figure to most of the young men from there.

he knows he won't have to ever attend a class now. He's guaranteed to graduate with honors now. Sad state of O$U Sports ethics.

You thinking Ginn is getting a kick back?

No...that would be illegal...but the Ginn Academy has a nice Nike deal and interestingly enough, red and gray livery...hmmm...

University's PR people had a talk with him after the text.

Cardale Jones is on DP show. That kid sounds like a future pro. Great personality and very well spoken. Boy, I root against OSU, but that guy is tough to root against.

On the infamous tweet, he said he tweeted that after he got a C- on a sociology exam. That was funny.

I don't know if anyone else heard Mariota on DP show, but he sounded like a moron and we know about Winston. I really think this kid made a mistake. Isn't he also 22 years old, it's not like he's a 19 year old sophomore.

I saw Mariota on the DP show. He sounded intelligent but shy/humble to me.
