I know that's what we're looking for. Love to find some Jake Yancey's and Too Tall Easons out of high schools that we can develop. 04-cheers

Anton Waters 6-6
Justin Leon 6-7
Ramses Sandifer 6-8

These are the only three I can find.

Let's keep a lookout for 6-5 centers that average about 2-4 points per game. Our "go to" big man will likely come from those ranks.

Oh so cynical for someone so young!

You're right. I guess this program will do that to a guy.

Speaking of Darius, we don't need someone good in his senior year. We need someone who is good right away.

In that case, it has to be a juco. And it probably will be someone who is good at defense and rebounding, not necessarily scoring.

You are correct on that. We are not going to get a high school big man who is ready to play. If we can't sign a decent big man with Joe Kleine, a 16 year NBA veteran, on our staff we never will. Seems like this is something that really should give us an advantage over other similar schools.

With Roger Woods and James White back next year, we are not hurting for a scorer inside. What we need is someone who can spell either of them without giving away the game while they are out. And decent rebounding/defense post guys are around.

I think Steve and Joe can find that. Another JJ would be nice.

Does JJ have any eligibility remaining?

Wouldn't it though! Can you imagine what JJ could do if he could just concentrate on rebounding and leave the scoring to James or Roger?

He was unique at our level for sure. That mouthpiece he wore was scary enough to want his opponents to stay away from him. Looked sort of like Hannibal Lecter.
