FSU undefeated #3 cause ACC
Baylor/TCU out cause Big 12

Anyone who is looking at this and has half a brain knows that a group of people sitting around the table can't tell you who the best 4 teams are, and I don't care who is in that group. I don't care if they watch every minute of every FBS game. You know how you can get the best teams in? There are these things called conferences. Each conference has a champion based solely on wins and losses (no not equations entered into a computer, and not a beauty contest judged by biased humans). You take those champions and have them play each other. The one that makes it to the end without losing is the best team. It's not that f'n hard!

That's why it will be an eight team playoff sooner rather than later.

...or the headliners of the XII and ACC will merge, leaving the Wake Forests and Iowa States battling the rest of us for that access bowl.

4 uber-conferences, 4 playoff spots. All nice and tidy. Plus, fewer "moochers" riding the coattails of the money-makers.

Stay on your toes. I honestly don't see the XII settling for Cincinnati.

I could see that except the ACC and Big 12 have some very good basketball teams that are moochers during football season (Kansas, Iowa State occasionally, UNC, Syracuse, Duke usually).

We may need to lighten up the schedule next year and add some cupcakes. I'm thinkin remove Wofford and Georgia Southern and UNC and Duke ... adding LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama.
