RE: UC at NC State Gamethread
Offense starting to slow down (ball not going down as much), but defense still looking very good.

Don't know if we are running clock or if the NC State defense is getting better. The second, I think.

UC has been unable to get stops this half at all. Could make this a game.

Both of Ellis's second half fouls were really, really weak calls.

What is Cobb doing shooting that 25 footer so early in the shot clock?

Oh, it went in? Great shot!

DeBerry has been outstanding. I have been very pleasantly surprised by him this year.

He was trying to hold him up from falling at the end. That's why he grabbed him.

Had one hand all over the ball at first, then grabbed him to prevent fall. Just a terrible flagrant 1 call.

RE: UC at NC State Gamethread
Still have Xavier in February, but a fairly impressive nonconference slate for this young team. We've seen some growing pains and some really good play in flashes. Love Clark, he's going to be a stud. Promise in the backcourt. Defense has come along quickly. I could see this team being a top 20 caliber squad by the end of the year. (probably not a top 20 resume). This is big for tournament hopes.

RE: UC at NC State Gamethread
A tip of the hat to Larry Davis. He has done an outstanding job since the VCU game and he gets a bye on that one because he had no time to prepare. I said this at the beginning of the year, young team, will be up and down, but will be special in the next years.

Agreed. Too bad we let that Nebraska game get away.

Another top 50 win is always good for the tournament resume. Hope we bring the same energy to an 11 AM tip (bleh) against SMU
