RE: 2014-15 NFL Playoffs
As a a Patriot fan, I'm confident we're better than any team in the playoffs except Seattle. A New England vs. Seattle Super Bowl would be a toss-up.

Of course, the best teams don't always get there. It will probably be Detroit vs. Cincinnati.

RE: 2014-15 NFL Playoffs
Is anyone else getting to the point of frustration with the NFL playoff structure?

I find it terrible that teams with winning records don't get a shot at the playoffs while a team like the Panthers (albeit they are playing good football, NOW) gets in at 7-8-1. Why can't they develop a playoff formula similar to the NBA? That brings me to my next point. How in the world does it make sense for the Panthers at 7-8-1 getting a #4 seed and the Lions have a #6 seed? That is beyond stupid. Even if the NFL retains the divisional champ gets an automatic bid formula, the least they could do is arrange the seeding based on wins and losses.

That is all.

I get the Division Winner thing but I'm not sure about being able to host a game.

That said my 2014 NFCS CHAMPS SHIRT IS ON THE WAY!

I think we can take the Cards.

It's a good thing they don't put the record on the shirt and just go with "NFCS Champs". LOL. Good luck against the Cards, I'd actually rather the Panthers win that. They're more fun to watch.

Suh should not be playing against the Cowboys. He needs to be suspended for multiple games.

He sucks.

As much as I loved seeing the Panthers win I kind of feel for the Cardinals as the injury bug hit them at the worst time. That said, I like our chances at Seattle or at Dallas.

As a non Ravens fan living in Baltimore, please, please, please beat the Ravens. I dislike the NFL but the fans here are too obnoxious and downright ridiculous to just tune out. It's probably like that in most markets, but it seems especially bad here.

Panthers head to Seattle to take care of our unfinished business from January 2006 loss when we were down 0 running backs and all they had to do was triple team Steve Smith.

That said, Seattle represented well in that Super Bowl versus the Steelers I thought.

RE: 2014-15 NFL Playoffs
Panthers were game enough... just some bad mistakes let Seattle get the edge that the Panthers couldn't overcome. Personally, last weeks playoff win and that last TD we got against Seattle with that big lead they had give me faith the Panthers are on their way... just need some receivers, a little better OL, and some good secondary help and I think we can make big things happen.

Props to the Pats for taking out the Ravens...

Tomorrow's games should be interesting for sure...

Today's are going to be some really good ones, I think. Aside from the Pats/Ravens, these are the better match ups to watch. Carolina never belonged in the playoffs and that game against Seattle showed it. Kudos to them for hanging as tough as they could, but they proved in the regular season that they didn't belong.

The Cowboys got screwed.

The worst call in NFL history.

Bryant took three steps with the ball and his knee was down long before he bobbled the ball.

Packers suck.

How is it a bad call? A bad rule? No doubt, but not a bad call.

It is the right call according to the rules. Seems only fair that the cowboys had the refs help last week for them to hurt them this week.

RE: 2014-15 NFL Playoffs
He was down by contact. The sequence:

1) he caught the ball
2) he was touched by the defender
3) he took *three* steps
4) he stretched out toward the goal line
5) his body came down on the turf (knee, arm, etc.)
6) the ball was bobbled
7) he regained control of the ball

The play was over (dead) when he his body touched he turf. He was down by contact. Nothing else matters after that.

I'm no expert, so I'll just defer to those who are and they all said the call was the correct one. Your problem is with the NFL rules that contain an absurd amount of grey area, not with the call itself.

The call with the Lions was debatable. Today's is not. Bad call.

I'm not a Cowboys fan. I've been a Patriots fan for 39 years.

EXACTLY... I'm not a Cowboys fan or a Cowboys hater. What makes me laugh is all the 'boys fans crying right now about how they were screwed by the refs, but they laughed their way to the bank ALL WEEK after that Lions game.
