al.com has been suspiciously silent
Specifically, Scarbinsky, Archibald, and Whitmore. Anyone else beginning to think something's up(directive from on high or investigative research being done or something else)?

I know Whitmire requested information from them, but that was last week. Archibald or Scarbinsky would rip them to shreads, if al.com would give them the time to work on it.

The quiet before the storm. There is a strong possibility that a lot of unknown information is being gathered and/or will come to light sooner or later. I am sure they will have plenty to write about in the coming days.

Being paranoid is the fun part of being a UAB fan but probably just normal news cycle.

Will probably pick up again- week of no confidence vote

They have gotten a lot more clicks on AL.com with the UAB football headlines than they would have received. I doubt that they wannt to let this story just die.

Well, Whitmire is on vacation in Carolina with his family. Archibald is also on vacation. I don't know what Scarbinsky is up to.

It's Christmas, guys, breathe. Jeeze.

I sent a message to Archibald and got back an auto-reply that he would not be available until after the first of the new year. I took that to mean he is on vacation over the holidays.

UAB is filler material for al.com when nothing with the tide is happening. We were lucky enough for this to happen after the Alabama Auburn game. Now that the playoff is about to happen, UAB will be forgotten by them until they are over. Their interest in UAB will pick up just on time for the vote.

I think the Watts/no-confidence vote will be the lead news-story on al.com for the 4-5 days leading up to 01/15. If the motion passes, it will become a national news story.

Kyle Whitmire is probably tired of being called Whitmore.

Typically so, but this is a big story. The UAB football situation dominated all forms of media locally in the week leading up to Bama's SEC Championship game.

True, but this is bowl season. The other side of that is that very soon there will be no college football stories to write. At that point, we'll start to fill the gap locally.
