There will be more of these. After the assassination of the New York cops, police everywhere are going to shoot first.

Sounds like they have this kid on camera pointing a gun at police officers.

It appears as though this was a completely justified shooting. That being said, there is zero trust between the community and police officers in many American communities these days. So even a completely justified shooting will be met with distrust and disgust.

Criminals and thugs have never liked police. Gee, I wonder why?

This innocent kid was gunned down by a blood thirsty heartless cop who profiled him. Sure the gentle child pulled a gun. Sure he pointed it at the cop but it was completely understandable. The gentle child was proud of how clean he kept his gun and wanted to show the cops. Only a racist cop guilty of profiling would think differently.

/sarcasm/

I had to play the part of bleeding heart liberal since none of the board regulars would.

I heard there was a witness who heard the kid say "Look officer, it's not loaded'. How can you justify shooting a kid who is unarmed? He was no threat. The Police should have believed him. If the kid with the gun was white the cop would have believed it was unloaded!

Every parent needs to have this talk with their kids. I think we need a national conversation on this topic, because some communities just aren't getting the message.

Edit: Just to be sure, my son did not struggle with that concept. I mock those that do.

The talk i got (@ about 4 years old) was very short and to the point.
Don't point a gun at anything you don't intend to or aren't willing to kill. Point it at another person only if a life is at risk, and be a better shot than they are.
Nowhere in my talk was anything about cops. That went without saying, even to a 4 year old.

Ive pulled a gun on exactly one person and had full intentions of pulling the trigger if he had so much as moved an inch further into my window. Thankfully he didn't.

MSNBC doesn't want to discuss this story. A clearly justified shooting of a black thug doesn't fit their agenda. Especially with the natives all riled up and looking for blood.

I find no fault with anybody shooting someone who points a gun at them, especially rhe cops.

I was thinking the same thing. This is an excellent opportunity to show the kind of crap cops put up with on a daily basis and sometimes it is necessary to use lethal force.

I'll back off that statement as it appears you are showing a little more objectivity with this incident than in other recent ones.

RE: Another black teen killed by cops in St. Louis.
I looked at the security camera video. Tough to make out. Was it the guy who went to the left of the vehicle or the guy dressed in white? I didn't even see the guy drop. However, if there was a gun and he pointed it at the cop what's the problem? Justified shooting. These do happen also, but don't try to whitewash all the other shootings with blanket statements. The Tamir Rice shooting was especially troubling and it should be troubling to us all.
