Maybe I have " drunk the koolaid" but I really believe we will score early and often. Central Michigan will need to answer or it will be a loooong day for the Chips.

stop all these blowout predictions for my toppers. As a lifelong Western fan I sat through the 0-26. I watched us snatch defeat right from the jaws of victory many times.

I hate it when things look good for us. Whenever things look great, that's right when we......'Pull a Western'. I coined that term and it's actually got mileage from some of our veteran posters like me who've ate that disappointment bite by bitter bite.

So while a part of me feels good about this game I can't get rid of this nagging feeling we choke like a mtsu girlfriend getting choked for weed money.

I can see it now. We race out to a big first half lead. Come out in the second half and make some backup CMU running back look like Eric Dickerson in his prime and make the qb and wr's look like Montana to Rice.

Late in the 4th we'll need one simple first down to seal the victory. Doughty will throw a pick 6 and once again we'll have completely 'Pulled a Western'.

This is NOT what I want to happen. I want a blowout so epic I can someday tell my grandchildren about it (if my sons ever give me some). But just like I can get something horrible stuck playing in my brain.....ie...the Star Wars soundtrack. I can run an infinite loop of Western disappointments.

All that said. I am off work today. We are having family over to watch it on the Sharp Aquos.

It thought the same thing Dahbeed, this scenario could play out so I am cautiously optomistic. There is a chance we could pour it on like at Marshall and no way CMU puts up points like Marshall does so it could be a route.

Great game, excellent venue but there may be 4k people there. That's a 15k stadium and there are complete sections empty.

I don't think anyone expected any different. This is a great 4 hour commercial for the Bahama travel folks and a great experience for the 2 football teams.
