Maybe he is a Liberty grad and doesn't drink.

Seriously, though, I don't think the list is based off how I would rank game day experiences except for UNC being at #110.

This. You can get beer at GS in premium sections, suites and Bishop Bldg.

Our beer man brings you your beer anywhere in the stadium, don't even have to leave your seat. You can actually text your concession order to be delivered. If this based on the actual amenities I understand because our stadium is out of date and that's why we are in the process of an upgrade. If this is based on atmosphere, this guy obviously has never been to our games.

I really am wondering if that would be a good or bad thing for me. 04-cheers

Paul needs to stop ranking on who has the best hot dogs and nachos and get out the press box and mingle with some fans and where he can actually here the crowd. :)

I don't think the fact that the review was older was the problem so much as it was biased and negative. A Memphis guy wrote the review and was critical of our sold out, on campus stadium, college game-day experience, and winning tradition. And, we just so happened to beat his team, that was drawing flies to a large municipal dump at the mid-south fairground.
If/when it rotates back, I would hope for a more objective writer

That's an old article. Our stadium was reviewed by a Memphis St fan/blogger during his visit at our game with them......and we stomped them.

an old article?

Yep. The article on ULM's ranking for Malone Stadium was written in 2011.

Maybe republished recently, but the reviews are old for many stadiums.

Troy? Troy, you say? Don't sleep on the game day experience of the Trojans. Troy does a great job of generating an atmosphere around the game. About two hours before the game kicks off, the Troy University band (The Sound of the South) leads the team through the tailgate area for the Trojan Walk, as the fans send their final well-wishes to the team before the game. In addition to the tailgate area, the school sets up a kids play area on the baseball field for EVERY game. It is filled with bounce houses and games to entertain the little ones. In the game itself, one of the finest bands in the south strikes up again, filling the stadium with sounds to pump up the crowd and cheer the Trojans on to victory. Don't leave your seat at halftime - you'll want to stick around for the show then, too!

We really do have one of the greatest bands in the entire country. 04-cheers
Me ( GSU - 2004) and my wife (Troy - 1990) are looking forward to the GSU/Troy game next year. It will be her first trip back to Troy since she graduated.

Former Southern Pride member here, and I was very impressed with the small pep band that y'all brought to Paulson Stadium. They sounded amazing. Usually when bands try to play as loud as possible, they sacrifice musicality for volume and end up sounding like a farting elephant (see Savannah State's band), but Troy's band was loud and balanced and it sounded terrific. I hope to go to the Troy game next season and see an on-field performance with the whole band. Also, Troy's Sound of the South is way better than JSU's lame band.

I would agree. As an outsider, and as someone who hates App, Boone has a much better game day atmosphere.

IMO App State > NC State > UNC

Of course, I'm probably biased by coming to a GS-App game and not to an ACC-FCS game.

Guess having the nicest stadium in the conference doesn't mean much. I get that atmospheres add a ton which App and GS deserve. I think UL deserves a lot more in that category. But for TXST to be below even NMSU is absurd. I'd switch GS and App just because of the track.

Any ranking that puts Paulson above Bobby Dodd (much less 16 spaces above Bobby Dodd) is a ranking that is to be ignored.

The article was about Stadium Experience, not Quality of Stadium. lol

A 30k seat stadium is nice and all, but when it is only half full, it doesn't lend much to the experience.

Hard to beat Bobby Dodd. However the tech fans can be rather dull at times.

Tech students study during games - end of argument. Their experience is flat as south GA.
