In tonight's game, Madison played 8 minutes despite starting. Washington played 9 minutes after losing his starting position last game.

I noticed that despite all of the starters riding the bench in the 2nd half, it appeared most of the ire was directed at Tosin.

I noticed that as well. He played like hot garbage.

The first 5 minutes set the tone for the entire game. They hit their first 3 3's and we missed 3 bunnies in the paint. This game could have been great if a couple more shots would have landed for us early.

It's beyond me why we play zone against good 3 shooting teams. We aren't anywhere near skilled enough for that. Our man was decent but we could not keep them off the offensive boards.

UNC could be another UCLA game I'm afraid. Fortunately, they do not have the outside shooters that UCLA has. I really hope we don't get embarrassed for our players sake. We can and should be a top team in CUSA this year. We need some confidence going in to MTU.

There is no doubt there is talent on this team, but I have great fears about conference play. While C-USA is not a good basketball league anymore, most teams have a set rotation that I've seen. We are not even sure on our line up yet. I'm glad somebody else noticed the zone defense against great outside shooting teams. I understand running it long enough to see if they are hot or cold, but it perplexes me why we stay in it. I'm also concerned about the drop in play by Washington...

Washington was a product of the team he played with last year. What you're seeing now is what he'll be with these players. He is a below the rim guy. College basketball is literally growing in size. We've played many teams that are much larger than him and have made him shoot mid range shots and 3's. He might as well not suit up against UNC.
