I don't think the B1G would rule out Iowa State if it picked up some other Big 12 schools. I like the 4 team playoff concept (as you say 8 when you include conference championships).

I keep thinking Texas ends up with the ACC or Pac 12.

I think so too.

Speaking just for me I think that is for the best, in the end Texas is conference poison.

I think it's possible they could end up in either one. My reasoning for putting them in the B1G was to have something that resembled a regional corridor.

My model is also in a world in which universities and conferences do what's best for EVERYONE and not just themselves. Naturally, that's not the world we're living in. Texas to the B1G would make more sense than if they were in the ACC, PAC, or SEC...at least, when also taking into account the other changes I've made in my model.
