I think we can all agree that when UNC loses, everyone wins.

Might be the last time we play UNC for a while.

Good chance they will get the NCAA "Death Penalty" in both basketball and football
sometime next year. If they don't, considering the egregious, mind-boggling decade plus
mockery of any semblance of academic control, then the NCAA needs to close up shop
and let the big conferences elininate athletes going to school at all and just hire players.

In addition to death penalty another co-possibility is UNC having to forfeit all basketball & football wins, plus any titles won, that took place over that period.

I checked Google for "unc death penalty". I found a couple message board posts and one article on CBSSports from late October. Maybe there's just nobody talking about it right now, but I find it hard to believe that the "death penalty" is in play let alone likely.

The chances of UNC getting the death penalty are about as high as my chances of growing an inch at age 36.

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. UNC would lose but there would be no winner. A shame, since some would see that as a good reason to hang a banner.
