You are correct on the first two. But we also need someone the UAB faithful will trust and that has to be a UAB grad.

Mackin was a UAB guy. That worked out well.

No, what we need is someone who will be able to hoodwink the BOT into thinking he/she will bow to them, but as soon as they take office and have an affidavit of laissez-faire signed by the BOT will do everything within their power to defy them!

The athletic director position currently is bent over or at least it has been up until the last few weeks.

And I wonder why Shannon get's a pass in all of this, yet Brian is a traitor. Shannon is just a hired gun (not a UAB man) who occupied the second chair and happily fiddled while Rome burned, but not a word about this from all the "loyal Blazers" and "insiders".

I don't excuse Ealy or the throng of assistant and associate AD's. Anybody thinks Ealy, Mackin's right hand man, didn't know about this for months ahead of time is extremely naive. No one should be surprised. A craven yes-man like Mackin is going to populate his kingdom with birds of a feather. Don't look for an independent or courageous thought out of any of those leaches.

The whole administrative side of athletics needs to be cleaned out. Anyone associated with Mackin should be purged.
