Spoke about the tremendous job Haase has done in the face of adversity and travesty performed by UAB Administration. Also said the names being mentioned for the HC vacancy @ Bama ridiculous. Says Bama has a snowball chance in hell of getting a big name head coach.

Al asked Tim why he feels that way? Tim's response, "Bama is a football school and no one cares about basketball when it is good. They only care about Bama Basketball when someone is about to be fired." Then he said, "You don't even talk about the program locally." Ouch!!!!! Tim brought the truth to the dismay of Jay Barker.....lol.

Tim also said Bama Basketball is not thought about highly in the college basketball circles that matter.

I heard that. I figure after that comment the Board of Trustees probably just planned to make our football practice field a parking lot.

I listened to the entire segment. I figured Jay Barker must have been off for the day given he was completely silent during Tim's segment. He quickly diverted the topic to Bama's coaching search once Tim got off the air. He is is a jerk.

Brando announced yesterday that he was ending his radio show.

Brando just interviewed Haase. Very good interview. Brando said Haase and UAB Basketball been the gauze for the wound cause by the elimination of football. Haase responded if we win today maybe we could add a little neosporin to assist with healing the wound.

The only reason to bring up any Bama sports is to illustrate the favoritism shown by the BOT when it continues to financially support its own school's programs while it abolishes those at UAB and UAH citing similar difficulties (attendance, quality of performance, "cost of attendance", etc).

Tim Brando is my hero! He doesn't pander ir debase himself before the bammers and says exactly what's on his mind, no matter who it might piss off. That's why his syndicated radio show was conveniently discontinued in this area.

Have to remember to go by his Twitter page and thank him.

I'm very disappointed that he is ending the radio show. Timmy B. has helped me cover a lot if miles.
