2015 FCS ranking for Liberty, JMU, Richmond
With three VA state schools making the playoffs where will they be ranked starting in pre season? My guess,
Liberty #12
JMU #15
Richmond #18

What's yours?

I'd think more like UR 14 LU 16 and JMU 17. Make no mistake, we will still be lower than we should be because of who we are.

In the past I would agree. With how LU, JMU and Richmond won/lost out, I still think LU will be ranked higher in the final pole

I am in agreement with knucklehead. But at least being ranked will give us the opportunity to move up more quickly, especially given the schedule next year. If we win our games it won't be long before we are well inside the Top 10.

After a couple weeks the 2014 final polls will be out. We'll know then.

I think it's much too early to figure out where we'll be ranked at the start of the 2015 season. But it's more important where you finish.

we will probably be behind richmond still simply because we lost head to head against them. We both lost second round, so on what basis would or should we be ranked higher than them.

I just laugh now at all them stupid CAA posters who were so adament that we would finish in the bottom half of the CAA if we were there, My guess is we would be top 3/4 at worst.

LU may benefit in this way in a higher position. LU won away games at Coastal and JMU. Richmond won a home playoff game but lost to Coastal in basically a blow out game. As LU lost at home to Richmond in overtime, one could say Richmond and LU are almost head to head, with a slight advantage to Richmond. It depends on how much the Coastal victory over Richmond carries merit. I'll bet LU, JMU and Richmond all are within 5 places of each other at the end of the year.
