Nearing consensus All-American status...

Well earned. It was a pleasure to watch him.

He is the kind of UAB athlete (like Thomas and Freeman before him who set off "Black Friday") that got the BOT's "panties in a wad" and resulted in our present unhappiness. The BOT has not uttered as much as a squeak while UAB thrashed about with 2-10, 3-9 kinds of records. They have only reacted when UAB had some modicum of success in their football - or seemed with the hire of Fisher to be on the verge of such. Success, even moderate success, for UAB is something the BOT has NEVER been able to tolerate since the first football was pumped up.

It has not always been Bryant, Jr who has done the nasty things. The power is in the organization and that power is in the hands of those who run the Board. As is said, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely".

With all due respect, JJ, I saw it coming. The minute you took #4 the distance in Hattiesburg.

Nice work, young man. Now graduate so we can retire your number, assuming we'll ever issue any more.

Thankfully for JJ he returned punts and got to showcase his talents. His WR coach Williams, did him no favors.

Not on the AFCA list. Needs to be named by FWAA to be consensus All-American, they announce at 5et today.

Major snub by the AP.

The AP and AFCA don't name a kick or punt returner category. They just have a generic "all purpose" position. The FWAA has KR and PR categories, so hopefully that is good news.

I'll be watching closely when JJ gets his day at the combine. Chris Johnson's 4.24 in the 40 yard dash may be in jeopardy.

FWAA names WVU Mario Alford 1st team kick returner. 11 fewer yards per return and 2 fewer TDs. That's a snub. JJ won't be consensus but still got some huge honors.
