All aboard the fail train
ECU had the lead, decided to go for it on 4th and long, deep in UCF territory and then a Turnover on downs. UCF 51 yrd bomb for a touchdown. 32-30 UCF.....

Horrible clock management, but a really fun 4th quarter. There have been a number of Hail Mary endings this year. Crazy.

"Going for it" is generous and what they should have done. what they actually did was purposefully take a 10 yard loss giving ucf a shot at a hail mary they wouldnt have had otherwise. just awful stuff from ecu who should have ran the ball 3 times then treid to get the first down.

Wow I turned it off when UCF turned it over on downs.

RE: All aboard the fail train
The clock mismanagement was epic. Run the ball forward or throw a pass way up beyond the endzone.

They had a minor clock mismanagement issue against us too.

How does the ball go through two defenders untouched?! You'd think at least one of them could have tipped it.

Yes... one out of two, yes or no, basic probability in play here...

Both misjudged it. If ECU had not have lost close to 20 yards on their last drive intentionally, UCF wouldn't have been able to get that ball close to the end zone.

39 taking off his chinstrap and 11 ECU defenders letting one UCF WR get behind them. Ridiculous.

The $100,000 Hail Mary: UCF's last play TD gave it a share of the AAC championship, which means a $100,000 bonus for coach George O'Leary

cha cling ! Thank you ECU ineptness.

ECU fans talk in glowing terms about Ruffin McNeil, but I have never seen his teams win the big games. They always seem to choke.

I doubt he will turn out to be a coach who can take a team to the next level.

They've got some nice wins over VaTech, North Carolina and NC State the past couple season, but he has dropped a lot of WTF games (last year their CUSA Championship bid was derailed by losing to Tulane). If you look at his overall body of work it is not that impressive save for their 10-3 record in CUSA last season with no UCF:

6-7
5-7
8-5
10-3
8-4

I am guessing a lot of the love comes from the fact that he is an ECU alum and from I gather a very personable guy.

With regards to UCF, is there a team in the country who has pulled more wins out of their arse then they have the past couple seasons? Gotta give them credit for finding a way to win, but I can count the number of games in which they dominated in two years on three fingers.

Auburn, LOL, but they ran out of their miracle card this season. BTW Ruffin has done a very good job at ECU.

ECU fans like to talk like they have been a dominant program for awhile, but the reality is that they have very few seasons with 9 or more wins. Wish we had a fanbase like theirs, will take our results over theirs by a long shot.

I like the fact that UCF won this game. I think if Boise loses, one of the AAC teams have a chance to get into Access Bowl.

Memphis-UCF-Cincy gives us a better chance to come out than

Memphis-Cincy due to head to head loss
