Yeah, not possible contracturally, I should have know that to start with. Way too many qualified SEC schools to do it, and no way in hell they give up a slot to UAB.

Scratch that idea, I guess. Damn, woulda been nice.

I have thrown this idea out on Twitter today a number of times. I'm still wanting to know how influential Mayor Bell is with that bowl committee in terms of inviting UAB, who I think would accept it under the circumstances, because the cowards have already made up their minds that letting UAB take an out of town bowl would be "an expensive endeavor."

Yet for some reason, Bell has not responded to the inquries about the Birmingham Bowl and having Birmingham's team in it...Guess this is one way to find out for sure who really wields the most power and influence in the city of Birmingham, Mayor William Bell , or that sleazebag Paul Tyrant Jr.

If the Birmingham Bowl has a social media outlet or webpage, please share the link here, and I'll gladly take a run at them for our UAB Blazers.

I tell you, if we could get in there….. there would be a helluva lot of tickets sold. I'd buy 10 for my extended family. Others would do that and more.
