Baptists 22, Catholics 14

VU holds LU on opening drive 3rd qtr, then fumbles punt, LU recovers at VU 45 and drives for FG.

Turnovers & special teams the difference so far.

At this point, it looks like LIBERTY is putting new meaning to the phrase:
" 'Tis the Season ... "

That kid just might kick them into the Quarter Finals!

VU driving & Robertson fumbles at the LU 27, LU recovers with about 10 min left in the 4th qtr.

VU has fumbled 6 times, lost 4. 2 turnovers for LU.

Catholics 30, Baptists 22, 1+ min left 4th.

VU just went on 18 play, 84 yd, 7+ minute drive to likely win it. All 18 plays were on the ground. Robertson ran it in from 1.

'Nova wins 29-22 after a failed Hail Mary by Liberty. I was thinking of JMU at 'Nova in 2008!!

LU attempted hail mary from the VU 49 with 4 seconds left in the rain. VU radio announcers brought up the fact that the last hail mary attempted @ VU was Rodney Landers, also in the rain. One commentator said it was from about the same spot on the field. The other announcer correctly pointed out that it was from the 36.

Looks like all the seeds except #3 Jacksonville State have won. Exception is the EWU/Montanna game, think that is still going on. Last score I have has EWU up by about 2 scores.

Listened on VU radio broadcast. VU comentators said in the 1st qtr LU fans have "engulfed the stadium". Later mentioned that LU brought something like 23 buses. Sounds like LU fans outnumbered VU fans despite Lynchburg being about 5 hrs away.

Which is pretty pathetic on the part of Villanova. This is the small time crap that we should not be a part of.
I've been to all CAA venues as far north are VU and they have without question the worst game day atmosphere. No fans on a beautiful day.

JMU @ VU was a nice day. It was by far the most fans at a JMU @ VU FB game that I'd seen, and I've been to the last 7. Attendance was listed at 10781 in ther 12.5k capacity stadium, And I'd say for most of the 2nd & 3rd quarters was about 3/4 full with alot of people milling about the far endzone where they have some concessions & seating. (Well, it was parent's weekend, which I don't think any of the previous games had been).
Home side was almost totally full by mid 1st quarter:

Visitor's side was also pretty full by mid 1st qtr:.

We're talking about two separate games. I'm talking about the 2012 game. There was at best 5k people there, despite what the official number says.
