What's our next step? Do we have a realistic shot of getting this decision reversed in the short term and re-evaluating all the investment options? Do we have the clout to fight this back? I think with Coach Clark an IPF would be enough for him to do his magic and the attendance woes from several flossing seasons in a row are gone.

Next week's faculty senate meeting is a huge milestone. The rumblings that the Governor is getting involved is important, but who knows how far that will go. Lots of people looking and talking, but for any actual movement to happen some big names at a high level (government and business) have to apply some pressure. They can withstand a couple of weeks of students marching down University. They can't withstand the CEO of Alabama Power or BBVA Compass ringing the phone.

It's got to be quick, though. I don't think a seven week turnaround like UAH had is possible. This has to be done by Christmas or it's over, IMO.

Mixed up is right. It needs to happen quick while public opinion and momentum is on our side.
