Where is the city of Birmingham?
I have yet to find anything regarding the cities take on what happened. The football question has been out there for several months, so the city fathers weren't blindsided by yesterday's announcement. They don't care? Bryant Jr. bitched slapped them? UAB's football program was headed in the right direction, with the resources available it was only a matter of time until you had your own stadium.

Your new president is on board, what less than a year? Took no input from the university community? Business community? Alumni? And pulls the trigger.... He needs to go.

RE: Where is the city of Birmingham?
There were several stories on al.com about the Mayor's reaction and the reaction of several members of the City Council.

The city council is upset and so is the mayor. The Jefferson County Commission is also concerned.

That and a couple of dollars will get you coffee. It will do nothing to change one single event that has happened.

I thought they were pissed but they have gone back to there political talk. The Mayor was very disappointing in his comments he has given up. It was reported the city offered 75 million on twitter by a player ..haven't seen it confirmed though.
