Basketball... Better, Worse, or Same?
We need to schedule at least one ACC, SEC, BIG, Big 12, and Pac 12 game season. Yes, at this point they are all loses, but loses against name brands that gets our name out and shows our kids what big competition is like. If we continue to play the likes of Moonbeam Tech A&M and Joe's Emporium Community College, we should never expect to rise above that level.

I did hear that Moonbeam Tech had a good recruiting class and next year when LU plays them, as a DIII team, they should be competitive.

We have to address this MBB situation immediately before it becomes a point of FBS discussion.

I think Liberty should market itself as a national school in all sports and schedule accordingly. If you want to be a P5 school, schedule them as often as you can. It isn't about having winnable games, but it is showing where you want to be and get them familiar with Liberty. So when they want to expand their conference they can remember playing Liberty and what their facilities were like, how the athletic department was run, etc. Sure we'll lose many of the games but that isn't as important as showing the other programs what we are all about, getting the exposure, and giving recruits a look at how we schedule the big boys.

I agree somewhat. You have to get a good balance. You have to schedule winnable games. Even the big schools do that. But, yes, we must schedule more good teams.

Coincidence or built into the script? I was watching a replay of the Louisville vs. UNCW game and they mentioned Liberty a couple times... Free nice publicity. Then on the next commercial break there was an LU commercial.
