I will be wearing my Rocket GMAC Bowl shirt to the game. That will probably raise a few eyes among the Herd and Huskie fans.

Rub it in to the Herd fans, but the Huskie fans should be glad the rest of the MAC is supporting them.

You mean like the 42-0 beatdown and losing 3 of their last 4 games against the Rockets.

I would fly out of Detroit as well. How much was the flight for one person if you don't mind me asking? I'd be bringing two including myself.

$246 per person. Plus $32 per bag per way. But be aware, the price went up $20 today - it was $226 last night.

Alumni putting together a great deal for me (students!) $25 gets us a bus ride to and from, 2 nights in a hotel, and a ticket to the game. Couldn't ask for much more.

I've got you covered Moto. 04-cheers

Doubt any bowls will allow me to drag in a small cooler full of beer, like they did in Mobile. That was nice!

That was amazing. I was thinking no way is that going to work, next thing I now - we're drinking beers in the rain in the stadium and watching the defense recover fumbles and going rumbling , bumbling, tumbling into the endzone....

RE: Any of us going to the Godaddy?
The 100, $25 ticket deals for students expired like a half hour after students could order them. Lots of students were not happy UT was only taking 100 on buses... I'm glad there was a demand for them at least! I'm afraid a 13 hour car drive plus ticket and hotel is not doable for many students though. That deal was the only shot for most students to go. I bet students would have paid $100 if the travel was all taken care of. The only way to go is pack 5 people in a car to split gas and hotel costs.

I keep thinking about the UT vs. FIU game in Detroit and how FIU had 100-500 fans. I really hope we don't have a crowd like that...We will have our band in Mobile to give the ESPN cameras something blue and gold to shoot at least?!

Awesome, awesome hotel. Right in the middle of the action and on the parade route.
You have a great view of the parade from the balcony of the hotel or on the ground.

Make sure to go up on the roof top deck (floor 5 I believe) and take in the views of downtown and the delta.

Toledo had quite a group that went to Mobile last time, I dont see why they wouldn't go this time.

At least 1000-2000.

RE: Any of us going to the Godaddy?
I'm trying to figure out my plans that week.

I've got 2 tixs (promised by UT) to the Duke BB game in North Carolina on the previous Monday night.
Do I? Then come home on Tuesday/ Wednesday. Then leave Friday for Mobile? Or stay in East Tennessee a couple days in between.

What's the weather going to be like?
1. Home in Toledo area
2. Durham, and across the mountains
3. Mobile

Hotels, gas, food, laundry......

Got to get thru Christmas Day first................
