Mackin spilled the beans to Coach Clark after the game Saturday. Clark wasn't supposed to know, so Mackin was fired for the leak to Clark then to the media.

I person who works in Administration posted a comment on facebook last night that Mackin had gone around to several of the department heads indicating he was leaving before the 1st of November and that he already has a job at another university.

Makes sense. This was all going to happen anyway though. That's why I never understood Mackin's silence.

I thought about Kansas too, but he'd be better set up for success at Tulsa. I truly believe Clark can make it to a destination job one day, and Tulsa would be the next best step (based on current openings.)
