As long as it considered rumors the story is as big as it is going to get. If the program is officially gutted then it will be plastered everywhere. People all over are in disbelief that our president is even considering this so if he drops the hammer the only place he will be respected as a university president maybe down the road to the west of Birmingham because everywhere else he will be viewed as an idiot.

Late last night I saw a tweet from someone in the legislative offices that indicated they would not let the UAB football program die but they were looking for ways to keep PJB and others on the BOT. Sounded like a mixed message then. Also the governor's statement that he saw progress and would gaither more data before decision was made. Dr. Watts may be PJB's mole and is making the announcement before others can stop the shut down process. Dr. Watts needs to be removed from office immediately and an investigation started.
