I REALLY hope UAB stays...but I'm afraid that they'd better warm up the lube...

But if those boys get rogered out of a bowl game...That is nothing short of criminal... The BOT needs to be thrown in prison...

There's no ******* point If they shut us down. Give it to somebody who can use it to build towards the future. This **** is beyond ridiculous, and i think it is going to take a very powerful person, or group of people, to stop it from happening.

To be honest, if we lose the championship game I would be okay with us giving up our bowl spot for UAB if they announce the program is getting killed. Those players and coaching staff, and the fans, would deserve one last game.

Some future big job in the BOT? Or are they setting him up with a nice seven figure salary in a company in B'ham? Can't imagine he needs the money.

There has been a (well reasoned) voice in politics for years for local governance. This is the ugly, dirty, crony downside of it.

Unfortunately, the hail mary (attempt to reconsititute the BoT) to save the program, and likely the entire undergraduate college, is too late.

My condolences to UAB fans. What an absolute travesty, and an utterly ridiculous injustice.

He's from the medical side of campus. Many of those guys think spending money on undergrad programs takes away from them.

Everyone's concentrating on football. If they can the entire undergraduate college, all sports go in the crapper. Everything.

Wow. Seriously?

UAB is a big freaking school 18K students with more than half undergrad!

I officially hate Alabama now. I always rooted for them cause Saban is from the great state of WV.

They are now on the same level as WVU for me.

No offense to UAB fams but of they are indeed ending the program it has to be immediately. It's not fair to have those players and coach flap in the wind on a lame duck year. It's just prolonging the inevitable.

I hate this for you guys. Politics has ruined college football.
