This absolutely could hurt his career. What university or athletic entity wants a coach that is distracted from his job by being embroiled in a socio-political scandal involving the fate of another university's football program? Moreover, what school wants a coach that thinks it would be appropriate to air grievances and confirm rumors about said situation over social media? It makes him look like a fool, but it sure does feel good to come out better for him having been a fool, for once.

We need Dr. G to mail in her hush money and write a book. Let it have excerpts from Watson, Mackin, Jim Hilyer, Murry, XCMA, XCMD & McGee.

Why is nobody listening to me? Screenshots are worthless! This has to be verified or Elliott's stuff is worthless! Besides, his screen name is "breaking news" so of course he will be accused of being an attention hound.

It's a sad commentary on the coaching profession when doing the right thing, standing up against sneaks, and simply telling the truth; will severely damage one's coaching career. I hope he speaks out anyway you - I think many would have a whole new respect for him.

How, I don't see how this would be considered worst than what his boss did. He not only got a job but was hired by a school in the ACC. The power base here in Alabama doesn't extend as far as you may think.

I did this to save the program, not for attention. I promise. I begged Garrick for 3 or 4 days to speak out, but he refused. Also, his agent told him to stay out of it.

I appreciate that he still considers UAB "we," a pronoun never heard from our Trustees.

McGee would actually get a pass for his record and his leaving a head coaching job to be an assistant if it was shown his hands were tied and they were going to shut down the program.
