Joe Dean Jr. for AD
Joe Dean Jr. has shown that he is Birmingham through and through at Birmingham-Southern College. He would work hard for all that Blazers care about. Anyway to get it done?

I know Joe well. He's a great man, and would have no interest in UAB. Especially after all this.

He is not a friend of UAB. Which means he is probably the leading candidate

Joe Dean Jr. has been advocating that UAB drop its d-1 athletic program for years, publicly and privately. He oversaw the dismantling of BSC's D-1 program, so at least you could say he has experience in making it happen if that is your goal.

RE: Joe Dean Jr. for AD
I've been wondering if there was a different, better model that could work as opposed to merely tapping someone to act as an interim Athletic Director or the like. Would it be possible for the the post of Athletic Director to be replaced by an annually rotating three person team made up of current UAB coaches that would recuse themselves from voting on issues related to their respective teams? That way, we have people that are truly invested in UAB making decisions for the school and all of the coaches seeing a nice bump in pay every so often.

Is that even feasible to begin with, and does anyone think it'd work?
