It's been planned for a while. Things were leaked to force the issue. You have to understand that for legal reasons it cant be seen as the BoT making this happen. It has to be seen as UAB deciding to do this to itself. You are never going to see the trustees doing anything more than give talking points as to why Ray Watts made such a wise decision and how they support him being a strong enough leader to do whats best for UAB.

Letting people know whats going on while Watts is MIA helps shine light on that lie.

Well he hasn't officially been fired. All that is out there is rumor and speculation from "sources" to USA Today and ESPN. Athletics reports directly to the President, though, not through any VP.

That crowd is swelling as we speak...They can forget about classes today, it's on now!

He wont ever officially be "fired" it's a mutual termination with a nice NDA tied golden parachute and another job waiting for Brian.

I took a break came back and the crowd is bigger. Everyone that cares and can should be on there way down here.

Talked to several football coaches at the rally. They told me that watts met with Clark last night and is currently meeting with a group of boosters right now.
