Questions from the 2014 Football season
1) What's the story with Gage Steele? Was he never close to 100%, or does he not look good in the defense? He was a beast as a freshman.

2)What's the story with Khalid Abdullah? Once again he was a beast last year. I felt like he's the best back we've had since Holloman. Was he never 100%? Did he lose something from the injury? He was way better than Latney last year. I think last year's Abdullah would be a killer in this offense.

I'm not sure what to expect from these two next year. Both players I expected to be multiple year all conference performers.

3) Why is our option sooooo bad. This is a weakness for our offense. We've got a QB that was one of the best option QBs in 1A the last 2 years, and this year I cringe when we run the option. I don't get it.

Questions from the 2014 Football season
1. I don't think Steele was ever 100% and was behind all year due to how much time he missed in camp.

2. Abdullah is a mystery to me. I think he was banged up a little early and the healthy. Latney played great and secured the ball so probably the reason for going with him.

3. Please abandon the wide option. Did not work at all this year.

I think Steele never caught up after losing so much valuable time in camp and early season. He was very good as the Robin to Robertson's Batman, but in this scheme and the time missed, it wasn't in the cards for him this year. I still think he can be a solid player for us but needs a full training camp in this defense.

It is obvious to me that Abdullah simply does not have the explosiveness that he had last year. He has to be due to never being fully healthy.

Hopefully both players will be fully healed and healthy for 2015!! In Gages' situation, you always wonder how long it takes to recover from that type of hip injury, particularly for a player that has to go side to side like he does.
