Like most of us, I've always had a general dislike for SEC schools, but my dislike for Alabama is now over the top.

Go Mizzou!

Sources tell FootballScoop that “there will be challenges and lawsuits.” Players will challenge this. Coaches contracts weren’t what they were told they would be from the administration. All sorts of issues here. Perhaps the granddaddy of them all though is the potential for an investigation into this process and what that will reveal and could lead to for the Board of Trustees for the University of Alabama system. We will update…

Please let this be true.

The board of trustees senior members should be careful of the fights they picks. A lawsuit filed by UaB players may draw attention to the illicit activities that have bankrolled their existence. The right people may become aware of the dirty deals and at that point the Senior BOT members may figure out that allowing UaB to exist and grow is our version of the cold war.

Federal inquires can be tough on an old drunk's ticker.

This will not end in a pretty way, for anybody.

For the first time in my life I'm cheering for lawyers. I hope there is a busload of 'em on the way to campus right now

You and me both. Hopefully this terrible situation will help us in the long run.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of this. I have nothing against Bama football, big fan at that, but the NCAA getting involved might be just the blackmail we need to get the slime on the BOT to step off!!

If this goes down the way it seems headed, it is a clear case of lack of institutional control and grounds for major penalties. I have little doubt that there are death penalty caliber coverups within the Alabama program.

If Alabama goes down that route, I hope a coalition of individuals pursue legal action and investigation of the UA system administration.

Yeah - this might be about the trustees but it has completely solidified my previously solidified position about our sister school.

They ran off the presidents who fought for football and appointed their stooge.

If you believe those rat bastards don't have blood on their hands, I've got an 87 year old 72K seat football stadium I can give you a deal on. One day only.

I never said I believed that. On the contrary I indicated that I felt they had something to do with it. It's semantics at this point, but Watts was allowed to do what he wanted without so much as a peep from anyone in an official capacity at UAB until a week or so ago. I just hope there is time left for those that can influence things to do something about it.

I really think they(Mackin, Watts, BOT) were counting on Coach Clark leaving for Troy before the announcement would be made. It would have been easier on them than to have Coach Clark stay and fight until the bitter end(if it comes) and become the lightning rod. Of course, they measure everyone else's morals based on their own.

Did you notice that one of the people in the UA system chancellor's office is named Drummond?
