RE: Coaching changes
Looks like former Toledo assistant Dave Steckel will be the new head coach at Missouri State.

Michigan on the other hand either Knows Harbaugh is in or is making one of the worst searches in college football. As seen with the other open jobs coaches can move before bowl season. Would be a shame if a school of Michigans previous stature strikes out a third time on a coaches hire. Although Rich Rod is doing pretty good now that he doesn't have the pretentious snobs at Michigan judging him. Even Saban would have a difficult time at Michigan with expections that were lasted lived up to in 1997.

I called it that Rich Rod would end up somewhere else and build a successful program. His hands were tied at Michigan because he was not a "Michigan Man." Well they just had one.........

Hoke was never a "Michigan man"...he was just a fan growing up who eventually got the coaching gig there. Anybody can call themselves a "Michigan man", but that is really defined by the inner circles as to what is considered a true "Michigan man" - first and foremost - you had to be accepted to school there, graduate, and become a leader in your field of endeavor. And donate back to the school you graduated from - not just the athletic department.

Interesting----I was surprised when I saw the name Dave Diles, because I figured that he must surely have died years ago. But the new VMI coach turns out to be his son.

I remember Dave Diles as host for the ABC Sat. College Football scoreboard show way back when. He was also the sports guy for WXYZ in Detroit for years. He was an alum of Ohio U.

Jason Candle could be a leading candidate for newly vacant OSU QB coach/coordinator position now open with Tom Herman leaving to take Houston HC job.

He has put his time in at UT and I think he deserves a shot at the bright lights. I will email Urban Meyer to make sure he gets considered for the position.

Yeah, UT is the MAC's #1 Offense ranked #!8 nationally just behind Auburn and Alabama, averaging almost exactly the same yards/play as Baylor. The OC needs to go.

Well, sure but you have to expect that when you're playing a wide out at QB. We should have been number one in all those categories since we mostly got to play our third and second string QB. No excuse!

He probably wants to coach, but do it at YSU's expense.

Will this make the bg offense faster, or slower???

It also says NIU is losing their LB coach to Kansas.

Why is nobody going after Carey from NIU?I don't get it? The last NIU coach (Kill) that got poached has been pretty successful at Minnesota...

He doesn't have the background that either Kill or Doeren did before getting to NIU.

So then why is everybody enamored with Campbell? I hike him as a head coach but he really hasn't been successful yet at UT. His teams have not really won one game against a team with equal or greater talent. We win the games we are supposed to win and that tends to be it. He is an excellent recruiter.
